The Terminator series has been out for quite a while but now it;s back with Terminator Salvation. What better way to market such a movie than with an iPhone game? That's what I thought at first, expecting a half-baked attempt at a game that was just meant to garner attention towards the upcoming film. But what I found was an actually decent game which kept me enveloped in a growing plot line and constantly pushing towards victory.
With 6 different weapons and 11 different enemies to fight against, this game felt like a full fledged shooter. Now due to the limited graphics and abilities of the iPhone, I can't say it's going to replace my console games, but the game played extremely well. There are four different control schemes to choose from and are designed to give you the experience you personally are looking for. Cover is used a lot in this game and is almost necessary to survive.
There are 8 large levels to play through with completely 3D environments. If you liked the Brothers in Arms game that was released for the iPhone earlier, chances are you will love this game. It plays smoothly and has enough variety to keep your trigger finger happy.
I recommend it for those who are looking for an action experience and who are sick of small puzzle games. This game will not fail to please as you are shooting constant waves of enemies and struggling to stay alive as a few of skynets bots crawl towards you refusing to die. Check out Terminator Salvation today if you like 3rd Person shooters. It's priced a bit high but is worth the price.
