TextLater allows you to program a text message to be sent at a later time. The app is very simple and only offers one specific function: to automate the sending of a text at any later date you choose. While it might not be that useful of an app to everyone, TextLater can make sending text messages a little bit easier.
When you run the app for the first time, you'll have to register by entering your phone number then entering in the pin they text over to you. After you've registered, you'll have the full app at your disposal. You can enter in a recipient manually, select yourself, or select a contact. Then you can write the message that you want to send out.
And below all of that you can even set the date and time.
TextLater doesn't limit you on when you can send the text either. You can set it as far forward as you're willing to scroll by the day. You don't even need the app open to send it at that point because it seems to send the message directly to their server and resend it when you have scheduled it for. The text received shows the phone number of the sender and the message as it comes from TextLater's server and not your phone.
This app can be useful to set reminders or alert your friends of something at a specific time that you just can't be bothered to do manually at that time. TextLater is more likely to be abused and wind up as just an obnoxious prank app then anything practical. Unless you really can't be bothered to remember to send a text message or set an alert to remind you to do it, don't download TextLater.
