The Terminator series is the series that will not die. Similar to the robots that are featured in the movies and games, the thing just keeps on coming back only a little bit different every time. The latest iteration of a Terminator game to pop into the app store is The Terminator game from Big Head Games. This version of the game is not a third person shooter like the Terminator Salvation game. Instead, this game is an arcade survival game similar to iDracula. So players will be moving around with the joystick while waves of enemies continue to assualt them until they reach their goal or die.
This formula has worked in the past and these games tend to provide some white-knuckle gameplay. But the problem is, once you've played one, you've played them all. The game is not much different from other games like it and as such it gets extremely repetitive very fast. The game follows the story of the Terminator series, but for the most part, they just slap a new background, albeit wonderfully drawn, and call it a day.
There isn't really enough change in gameplay to keep me interested and because of this it has ruined the game experience. They continue to update it with new enemies and weapons, but the gameplay is just too repetitive to be a keeper in my book. It is selling for a smaller price, but for me, this price is not worth the amount of time that you will actually enjoy the game before getting bored.
