Topple is a highly addicting puzzle game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The object of Topple is to pile up the cartoon blocks that you're given as high as you possibly can within the time limit. Unfortunately, it's not as simple as it sounds due to the fact that these blocks aren't exactly flat and adhere to gravity.
You're given one block at a time to place on the surface of the level. The first few levels do have a flat surface, but that changes rather quickly. You can use two fingers to rotate any of the blocks before they hit the ground so you can stack them together in your attempt to hit both the goal and the bonus lines.
You get more points by dropping the blocks from higher up and you lose points for moving them around once they've been placed.

If your tower starts to tip, you can use the accelerometer to counter balance the fall as you continue to stack your way to the top. You can toss up to 4 blocks off the screen without ending the game. This can help when you get awkward shaped ones you just can't use.
The artwork in Topple is excellent. The backgrounds have a similar feel to the art in the TV show Samurai Jack while the blocks have a SpongeBob SquarePants/Ren and Stimpy style. This is a very addicting game and has multiple levels, achievements, and a free play mode to keep you entertained for awhile.

AppStoreMod's Review On Topple

Stack and balance a family of mischievous & dysfunctional shapes using multi-touch controls to slide and rotate them into position. Build your way to victory but remember to keep your balance by tilting the screen to prevent your teetering tower of blocks from Toppling to their doom.

Gets old.

When you first play Topple, you are entertained. You have to stack blocks ontop of each other and reach a certain height mark without making your tower fall apart, by wisely placing the blocks and balancing your tower using the accelerometer controls.  The gameplay feels refreshing and though the music is repetitive and there are no sound effects from the environments or caracters, the graphics are great, especially for the hilarious, personnalised facial expressions of the multiple blocks. It's really catchy.

But then why 3 Stars for Fun and Replayability? It's because obviously stacking blocks on top of each other eventually gets old.
The game gives you some challenges, achievements and a free play mode to make you come back and play more, but you see, it just always boils down to the exact same thing.
But also, the challenges are just too difficult. It's brutal and frustrating.
And there is really no reason to play the Free Play mode: the main objective here is to make your tower the highest possible (you can then share your scores over wifi which is cool), but it's easy as cake and it goes on and on and on forever, forcing you to stop playing by boredom.

I recommend the download, it's worth it, though just don't expect the game to stay on your iPhone or iPod Touch for too long.
