Touch Pets Dogs is a pet application that gives users the chance to casually raise a dog right on their iPhone or iPod Touch. Users will feed, groom, play with and even dress the dog how they want to. There are a ton of different breeds to choose from such as a labrador, german shepherd, or jack russel terrier. After selecting the dog you want, you are put through a quite lengthy tutorial on how to take care of your dog. You need to excercise him by throwing frisbees and balls (the balls have nice physics by the way), feed him with bowls of food, and take care of his wonderful mess he leaves in the backyard.

The catch with this game is that you only have a limited amount of food and then the game asks you to buy more from the appstore. The game was great in the sense that it felt just like any other pet game, taking care of your dog, playing fetch with him and everything else that comes with it. The game connects with ngmoco Plus+ service that gives players the option to connect with friends and let their dogs interact which was a nice feature.

There are a ton of different options that can be found in the appstore ranging from free to some extremely high prices. So definitely check it out if you are looking for a pet game. It was definitely entertaining for a while and with there being a free version, there is no reason not to check it out.

Those other folk seem to have missed the point of this game, it\'s a casual game. Your meant to pick it up for ten minutes at a time, not play it for hours on end. In that respect it\'s excellent, there\'s always something to do and keeps you wanting more. Much like ngmocos other recent release Eliminate I find myself checking the clock to see if my energy/food will have recharged yet, I\'ve been playing both these games everyday since release and have yet to pay a penny.
As a pet sim Touch Pets excells, I had a tamagochi when I was a kid and when I first heard about Nintendogs I thought it would be great but when I eventually tried it the lack of interactivity and wooden dogs dissapointed me, this game is everything Nintendogs shouldve been.

Not worth paying for or having this game

Why companies keep doing these tactics.?
Once you run out of food you have to pay for more food, and if you run out of food again
guess what.? - you have to pay again.

and this happens again and again and again.
Why do people have to keep paying for the same game over and over.

I still cant believe Apple is allowing this in their store.
Which is why I now frequent the iTunes store less and less.

There is always a company who has to ruin it for everyone.
some company who wants to be extremely greedy and want to be rich over night.

Please people, DO NOT buy or support this game.
don't support this type of company doing these types of selling tactics.

A bit too much for my daughter and my wallet

I got this one for my daughter but was a bit put off when I learned that I would have to keep purchasing more 'food' for the game through the appstore. Instead of buying more food, I decided to buy her a different app. I settled on one called Little Cook. In that game the player is given a bunch of meal choices and they can mix in any of a large selection of random ingredients. After they are done making the meal it is given to a little food critic who gives her honest reactions (these can be quite hilarious). My daughter has been playing it for days and is not sick of it yet...and I have not had to pump any more money into it!
