Touchgrind is a fingerboarding game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. This game has an amazingly realistic feel to it and is a great way to kill a significant amount of time.
In a similar fashion to the fingerboard toys that were a huge craze a few years ago, this app involves you controlling a skateboard with two fingers. You can do numerous tricks with your fingerboard in this game thanks to the amazing physics engine that it runs on. While many of these tricks can be done without interacting with the environment, the entire game takes place in a skate park for you to skate around in. There are ramps, rails, and boxes for you to trick on and off of whether you?re in a jam session or a competition.
Understanding how to play this game is one thing, mastering it is another thing completely. You may have a great understanding of how this game works and what you?re suppose to do but actually doing it and doing it successfully will take you a long time unless you have previous experience with fingerboarding. Couple that with the fact that to make the board big enough for you to place your fingers on, navigating the course can be very difficult at times. Until you really get a good feel for this game, you?ll find yourself bumping into obstacles more than actually doing tricks on and off of them.
