Transformers was an amazing series back in the eighties and has been revitalized by the latest Hollywood films. There have been countless games created for the Transformer series for consoles and now a game has been created for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The game is not like the console games which focused on a 3rd person action experience and instead focuses on a turn-based strategy experience.

The game is very similar to the game Advance Wars if any of you are familiar with the Nintendo game. You play through a story mode which focuses on the story of the Autobots vs the Decepticons. The game makes use of the ability to transform by letting players choose to transform into vehicle mode and travel further but it requires a sacrifice. Battles in the game are automatic and have an animation of the two Transformers firing their weapons at each other. As you play through the game, you will have a chance to fight or use almost all the most popular Transformers from the series. There is also a multiplayer option to play through but there isn't any online option.

Overall, the game is one of the best Transformer games available and definitely the best on the iPhone. It's priced at a medium price in the app store, so check it out.
