Trenches is a side-scrolling strategy game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The game play a lot like the game Cartoon Wars minus the end round upgrades. The game features different types of units that all serve a part in the overall scheme of things. Your goal as a player is to push back the German army and eventually overrun them scoring a victory for your team. To do this, you must spawn and guide your troops placing them strategically in areas where they will be most effective.

A key factor in this game is the trenches though you probably could have guessed that from the name. They provide an advantage defensively and make it really hard for either side to push through. But that's where airstrikes come into play. If you are being held by a group of solders in a trench, you can spend a nice chunk of your coin and send out a gas grenade or airstrike that will completely obliterate everything in the area. This is an excellent tool and adds another huge dynamic to the strategy.

Overall the game was fun and addicting and the developers plan to add even more as time goes on including multiplayer support and different game modes. So take a look and maybe I'll see you on the battlefield someday.
