Tux Rider is a 3D time-trail racing game for the iPhone and iPod touch. This game is based off an online version and if you've ever played it, you'll know exactly what it is all about.
The game features a fun-loving penguin who loves sliding down snowy mountains as fast as possible. The player uses the tilt controls to steer our adventurous penguin down the slopes, holding the bottom right button to paddle and gain speed. This game really does give the player a great sense of speed once the little guy can get going and you will find yourself more often than not yelling as your black and white friend barrels into a tree and comes to a sudden halt.
There are two modes in Tux Rider World Challenge.

There is the Time Trial mode which is summed up best with it's subtitle "Just go fast!" and there is the Classic mode which will have you swerving to stay within the markers to gobble as many blue fish as possible for maximum points. While going down the hill at breakneck speeds, Tux, our aptly named penguin hero, can also do tricks by tilting the accelerometer and messing around with different multi-touch gestures.
Perhaps the most interesting options available for this app are the World Challenge account you can set up that will keep track of your scores and the ability to play the game through Tux's eyes which will set the game on first person.
Overall, for the cheaper price, this game is quite fun and although some of you will find it a waste, many of you will see that it is a well made game with some really fun gameplay. Check it out.
