Tweetie is a really useful Twitter app for the iPhone and iPod Touch. This app has all the features that we?ve come to expect out of a Twitter client and does it with such a clean interface. There?s not much lacking in this app, making it worth every penny.
When you start up the app you?ll need to sign in with one of your Twitter accounts. This app allows for you to register with multiple, so keep that in mind when you?re picking out which Twitter app you?re going to use. After you log in, there?s four main buttons and a more button for you to delve through. Those buttons are Tweets, Replies, Messages, and Favorites. In More you?ll find My Profile, Following, Followers, Trends, and Search.
Each tab will give you 20 results at a time, but you? can have the app load up more simply by pressing the button. It doesn?t seem like it maxes out either, so keep that in mind if you like to view a lot of Tweets even when mobile. You can do quite a bit with this app, such as view reply chains, see links directly in the browser, retweet messages, turn links in the browser into short URLS and much more. Basically, the only thing that this app doesn?t do is let you browse the web and shorten a URL on the fly.
While some people don?t enjoy the iChat look that this app offers, it definitely adds a native iPhone feel to the app. This is really a solid app overall and offers the most out of any Twitter client we?ve had a chance to review.
