Games » Twin Blades Review

Screenshot1
Twin Blades is a sidescroller hack-n-slash game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The game plays a ton like Zombieville so if you have tried that game out, you'll know what to expect. The game features some amazing graphics and art with the entire scene filled with detail as you are hacking and shooting zombies to death. The controls are pretty basic and much like any other game of its type. There is a joystick on the side to move and jump, and two buttons for your blade and your extra weapons.

The game plays out in sections called days.

With each day that passes, the zombies get much harder to kill. At the end of a day, your weapons can be upgraded with different ammo and features based on how many zombies you have killed.

Overall, the game didn't last long at all. It was very short and I burnt through it in no time. The controls worked great but you can't swing while jumping which grew annoying when I would accidentally jump and fall into a group of zombies without being able to swing. The game is a great piece of art but for replay value I would have to recommend a different game. Unless this gets updated with some more content, the game is just a bit too simple.
