TWiT.am is an app that allows you to directly stream all the audio podcasts that come from Leo Laporte?s TWIT.tv network. This isn?t a complex app and won?t appeal to everyone, but being able to grab the TWiT.am podcast on the go is definitely useful.

The app is pretty basic, so don?t expect a ton out of it. When you load it up, the most recent podcast will start playing. You?ll see a link showing the address that it?s pulling from and a good size box showing you the Google calendar for reference as to when the next show is going to be broadcast. The app does have a few buttons for you to check out. The button in the top right will bring you to the TWiT live audio stream page. The bottom left offers a link directly to the TWiT.tv website. There?s also a stop button if you don?t want the stream to play anymore.

If you happen to be listening to a live podcast you can actually press the call button located at the bottom right hand corner of the app. This will directly dial the 8888-Ask-Leo number so you can try and get on the show to have your question answered or your opinion heard. This is pretty neat and makes the app more interactive.

One of the biggest things missing from this app is the video stream. Most viewers of the TWIT.tv network are use to watching the video stream and not just listening to the podcast. It?s likely that in future versions this will be taken care of, but for now, we?ll have to deal with just audio. If you?re a fan of TWIT.tv or Leo Laporte?s work, definitely download this app.
