TwitterFON Pro is a Twitter client for the iPhone and iPod Touch. With this app you can view, search, and post to the increasingly popular Twitter social network.

To utilize this app to its full potential, you must already have a Twitter username and password. If you do not already have one, you can sign up for free at http://www.twitter.com.

When you first open the app, you will be asked for your Twitter username and password. Once you have entered the information, you can change other options such as the theme, or bit.ly integration.

After logging in, you will be taken to your friend timeline. Here you can view all of the tweets from users that you have decided to follow. Tapping on an individual tweet will allow you to favorite, retweet, or reply to it. Because this application automatically refreshes, you will also receive an unread badge for Tweets that are new.

Tapping your username (in my case, @travist120) will allow you to switch between different Twitter accounts. Tapping "edit" then an account will also allow you to change the theme or other preferences.

Tapping the search option on the toolbar will allow you to view Twitter updates in your area, search for a specific term, or view what is currently trending on Twitter.

I've used and own a lot of Twitter clients, but I would definitely say this client is my second favorite (my first being Tweetie). While TwitterFON may do what nearly every Twitter app does, it does it in a very simplistic and easy to use way. Small things such as different themes for different accounts, timeline badges, and even the search interface shows that the developer really spent a lot of time developing this application. Of all of the features that this app possesses. The only feature that I miss is the ability to view a user timeline by typing in the username. For the price this app is currently asking for, it might be a little high. However, if you would like to try this app, there is an ad supported version in the appstore.
