VoiceFX is a combination voice recorder and mini sound effects studio. What you can do is record your voice through the app, then select one of 5 different settings to play what you just recorded back through. It's an interesting app that can be used for a number of different things, but it does fall a little bit short on what it could have been.
First off, you can only record your voice and then play it through the 5 different settings. Those settings are Echo, Helium, Deep Bass, Robot, and Reverse. You can also play your voice back normally if you choose. There are two sliding bars to the right that say less and more, but they don't really seem to do anything. To get started, press the record button up top and start talking into your phone. After that, you can mess around with it as you like.
The only other customization that you can do is change the background color. There are 12 options for this and all of them will give you a headache. This is really annoying as none of the backgrounds are even cool looking on their own. The inability to save all of your recordings or send them makes this app only useful for one line prank calls or to impress little children.
The idea behind Voice FX is great. If it could be used during a call it would be a very popular app for creeps and weirdos. Luckily it isn't. If there were more options or you could more closely edit your voice this would be worth buying, maybe even for a higher price. But for what it does right now, it's definitely not worth it.
