Voicie is a novel concept that could help a lot of people without an iPhone or who need a spam line that they can give out to those who they need to hear from but don't necessarily need them calling 24/7. The app once downloaded, assigns the user a US phone number and extension that can be given to people to call. Once setup, people can call that number, enter the extension, and leave a voicemail that will then notify the user (based on how they have set up the app) that there is a new voicemail.

The app uses the online filesharing service drop.io and all settings are set up online by entering the site from your device. Once a voicemail is received, if the user has set up notification, they will be notified of it and they can then enter the app and listen to it. I did notice that the volume of the messages after several tests was a little quiet but it wasn't unusable. The received voicemail is only tagged with the date that it was recorded so people who call the number will have to leave both their name and number if they wish to be contacted back.

Overall, this is one of those apps that you will know if you have a use for it. If you see the value, it is definitely worth it as the price for this app is almost nothing. But if you have an iPhone, this app is kind of pointless to use when you have a great voicemail system already.
