Vringo is the second Facebook to iPhone contact converter that we've had a chance to review and is by far the best of the two. This app allows you to sync your Facebook friends photos with your iPhone contacts very easily. So for any of you with an active Facebook account, this app is almost a must have.
When you first load up the app, you're going to need to log into Facebook and allow Vringo access to your Facebook account. This is a fairly straight forward process but unfortunately during this review there was an error multiple times. While connecting to Facebook the page had an error. With no back button, it was impossible to try again without reinstalling the app as each time it was loaded it came back to the same page. On the second run through, there were no issues.
Once you get everything properly set up the app is a breeze. Just load it up and let it sync. It would be very smart of you to do this over WiFi considering that it is pulling a good deal of data down. After all of your contacts have been retrieved, it brings you to an easy to manipulate list with every contact you have associated with a name on Facebook. You can delete any of these entries just by hitting the red minus to the left of the picture. That way you're not stuck with the wrong picture on the wrong contact because you decided not to enter in their last name.
The iPhone camera isn't amazing and the effort involved in taking everyones picture or uploading them from your computer is a pain in the butt. People update their Facebook picture constantly, so you can just resync whenever you want to get their updated picture. Definitely a useful utility for the iPhone.
