The Wall Street Journal has been a key player in the journalism industry for a long time and has obviously jumped onto the new reality that is internet coverage. To reach as many users as possible, the company released its own personal brand of application: Wall Street Journal, the app. The app is the publication brought to your device. It has articles written for all walks of life and is presented in a clean, easily accessible way.
The app is separated into different sections and can be configured so that the most important sections appear default when the app is opened. Articles are shown with a picture next to them and the font size can be changed for easier reading. News can be read or a video can be selected to watch certain events.
There is also the option to listen to a podcast right inside the app. Articles that users like can be saved and quickly accessed for later viewing which is very handy for someone on the go.
There is not much more to say about this app other than it is one of the best news apps I have seen. It has a really smooth interface that does not get in the way. The only exception to that statement is that it does have in-app advertisements which can sometimes be obtrusive. I did happen to accidentally tap it while trying to scroll (It's conveniently put at the bottom of the app where you would naturally put your finger.) Aside from this little annoyance, it is a great app and if you enjoy the Wall Street Journal, this app is a must. Check it out.
