With the Watchmen movie coming out early 2009, fans of the classic comic book series are chomping at the bit for more screenshots, trailers, and other goodies from the movie. This iPhone and iPod Touch app offers all of that up in a neat little package that will continue to be updated as we get closer to the movies release.

Loading the app up brings you to a wall full of old fashion TV?s. When you first launch it, you?ll notice a few of them have a fuzzy image. If you tap on that you?ll either load up a character bio, a wallpaper, or a video. After you exit that specific TV, look around at all the different TV?s to check if you unlocked a new one. While not all the TV?s can be clicked on at the time of this review, a good number of them can.

The videos in this app are the most interesting part. While they?ve obviously included the trailers that we?ve seen already they also offer up several interesting videos that seem to contain additional information from the world of Watchmen. There are also ?Making Of? videos as well, that give you plenty of insight as to what went into translating the comic book experience into a movie.

While this app isn?t for everyone, it?s a neat approach at keeping people up to date with the latest Watchmen information. Besides the atomic clock ticking down to show you when the movie launches, the developers have also promised to add additional features up until the movie hits theaters.
