Before the App Store opened its doors there were web apps. These easier to use websites made things that much more enjoyable on the iPhone and even kept many people calm while we waited for the App Store to actually launch. Now that the App Store has taken off, one developer has realized that there are plenty of great web apps still available and people should know about them.
Web Apps might as well be compared to the App Store in how it manages to provide you with all the information and apps that are available. Everything is organized by category, features, or new, making it very easy to browse through. Besides downloading and paying for the apps, they pretty much offer the same function for a slightly different product.
You can favorite any of the apps once you have registered for the site. This is pretty handy as there are a ton of web apps with more coming all the time, so you'll want a section for your favorites. All of the web apps load up directly in Web Apps, so you don't have to keep switching back and forth with Safari either. You can even quit directly out of an app and back to the main screen.
Many iPhone users have written off web apps now that the App Store is live. The truth is, there are still some amazing web apps that haven't been made into a native app or haven't been done properly. It's definitely worth checking out at least once, considering you'll probably find a few web apps you never new existed before. You'll be surprised at how many you add to your favorites.
