Webcam free is an app for the iPhone and iPod Touch that offers free still photos from live public webcams. This app does not stream any video in any way at all. It only allows you to see pictures that were taken from these webcams.
The list of webcams is pretty large. You have the option to choose which country, state/province, and even city you would like to view the available webcams for. Once you do, you'll be presented with at least one webcam for that area, if not more. You can then open that webcam up for more options.
In this area you'll see a full profile for the webcam, including the location information and when the photo was last updated. You can't really do much else from the screen, so you'll have to favorite it to make any progress. Once you view it in your favorites, you can change the orientation of the photo to widescreen, but you still have to manually zoom in.
This app is interesting, but the fact that it doesn't stream video makes it no more useful then using a web app. If you want to see pictures from a webcam, you can easily accomplish that on many websites, so don't waste your time with this app.
