WebMD Mobile allows you to bring the WebMD website with you on your iPhone and iPod Touch. Hypochondriacs rejoice as this app is as fully functional as the website counterpart, allowing you to self-diagnose every little issue that you run across in your daily activities.
There are four tabs to this app that allow you to easily navigate through WebMD. They are: Home, Symptoms, Treatments, and First Aid. Home seems like another shortcut page to the other three tabs, but allows you to directly search WebMD.com. Symptoms is an interactive guide that makes figuring out what's wrong with you that much easier by going through the multiple steps it provides.
Treatments allows you to search for a specific drug, identify a specific drug, or even browse the top 200 drugs by name. Once you select a drug, you'll have all of the facts that usually accompany the drug when you purchase it from the pharmacy and more. The First Aid tab allows you to easily figure out what to do in a situation where the individual requires immediate help by following through all the easy to navigate categories.
This app is most likely going to cause more individuals to self diagnose themselves and possibly freak out a lot more. However, the Treatment and First Aid tabs are fairly practical. Chances are you threw away your drug information sheet and you probably don't know the best way to deal with food poisoning off the top of your head. If you're capable of being rational and not looking up every little problem you have, check this app out.
