WootOn! is and app for the iPhone that allows you to easily monitor three affiliated deal of the day websites. Those sites are Woot.com, Shirt.Woot.com, and Wine.Woot.com. Each site offers an excellent deal on some cool swag that you probably would have missed if you hadn?t visited the site. The only downside of this app is that it is actually made by a third party, so it doesn?t work as seamlessly as it would if it was made by Woot.com itself.
Each site has its own tab and you can easily navigate between them at will. On each page you?ll see the item for sale, the price, a button to buy it, and the description. If you?re not familiar with Woot, most of their descriptions are done in a creative way that makes reading about what?s for sale much more enjoyable. You can scroll through the entire description very easily with this app.
In the settings tab, you can turn off the annoying sound and vibration. You can also set the refresh rate. This will help you if you?re dying to win a WootOff! (a series of Woot items sold in rapid succession) or you?re just trying to make sure they haven?t sold out of the Woot of the day. You do need to turn the refresh feature on manually each time you load up the app.
WootOn! would be a decent app if it wasn?t for the fact that you had to purchase your items through Safari. If you?re down to the minute and trying to grab that item, you may miss out on it because of Woot.com not being optimized for the iPhone. Considering it?s free, it make it worth checking out, at least so you can quickly view the daily Woot.
