Soccers games can be found all over the place in the App Store with games like FIFA and X2 Soccer leader the way. Exient has recently release the newest edition of their X2 Soccer games X2 Soccer 2010. This game is next advancement in their series and includes a well-needed roster update as well as some new controls. The game offers all the features you would expect with a game like this.
You can play through a tournament mode, start an exhibition match or hop online to play against someone else. Perhaps the largest two things you are going to notices in this addition is the updated graphics and the new feel of the game. The graphics are a welcome change as weather effects have been added and other small tweaks have been made making this the best looking soccer game for the iPhone. The feel has changed a bit too although I would argue it isn't for the better. The game feels much slower this time around with players easily being outrun by the computer player. Many times I would get into a battle for the ball against another player and end up losing control of my character. It just didn't feel right. All the controls are still available from the through ball to a lob pass, but it is much different this time around.
Overall, the game is still fun and definitely worth the purchase, but it would be nice to see an update to the game speed and feel.
