The iPhone is not known for is expansive games with deep storylines and explorable worlds and who can blame it? It’s a mobile device. Still we’ve seen rich games on systems like the gameboy for years and it’s about time for the iPhone to get it in gear. Xenome is an Action RPG similar to console games like Fallout where you play as a dangerous solder who is awakened from cryo-stasis into a wasteland called Silica Flats. You are activated into the Union-Prime war where both sides want you to fight for them.

The game plays extremely similar to other RPGs like Fallout where you can upgrade your active and passive abilities by leveling up and collecting XNA from fallen enemies. The first problem players are going to notice is the aweful graphics of the game and it would be easy to couple that complaint with the sometimes annoying controls, but the game isn’t about fast action combat.

What makes this game so intriguing is the deep storyline that will pull you in if you are patient enough to follow it. You will traverse the large, open world and solve the mystery as to why everyone wants to kill you. It’s a great game for RPG lovers and will offer hours of content. The exciting part is that this is the first of many. Check it out.
