Note taking apps for the iPhone seem to be almost as popular as lighter apps. YouNote jumps on to the bandwagon a little to late with their app unfortunately. The app comes off as more of a second rate Evernote than anything else.
While the app does allow you to do a few things that Evernote doesn't, such as draw and keep track of your location when you write the note, it doesn't have any features that would let it sync up with your computer or easily allow you to transfer those notes to your email. This can be rather frustrating when your confined to just your iPhone for keeping the notes.
All of the features in YouNote are done very well. You can tag and add contacts to each note, making it easy to remember exactly who you need to get in touch with and when. But as there isn't any functionality for an app like this to offer you alerts or reminders unless you open it, you're going to have to constantly open the app up to make sure you didn't miss anything.
The addition of drawing, which YouNote does much better than Scribble, is really nice. But when you're going against heavy hitters like Evernote that have the ability to sync up between the two devices, it just doesn't cut it. On it's own, it's a really enjoyable app but it's hard to justify why you would use it over the rest.
