YouTones is a ringtone creation app for the iPhone that allows you to manipulate your own voice into a custom ringtone. All you need to do is select one of 11 different themes and then record your voice and you're good to go. Well, that's if you don't count emailing yourself the ringtone, adding it to your ringtone folder, then syncing it with your iPhone as part of the process.

The 11 different themes offer some interesting choices for your ringtone. They range from that annoying frog from the ringtone commercials to Darth Vader. Of course they aren't called that at all for copyright reasons. After you select a theme it's time to add your voice to it. This is the part where you can really customize things.

YouTones is a really neat special effects tool. After playing around with how it converts over your voice, you'll be fairly impressed. It's a lot better then one would assume making a ringtone out of your voice would be. The issue comes in the next step of the process. You need to save the ringtone, then e-mail it over to yourself to sync up to your computer later.

This app is definitely interesting, but the issue is that it requires a lot of work. You can't simply add the ringtone to your library on the go. Nor can you just offload it from your iPhone, you actually have to mail it to yourself. Add in the fact that this is a paid app and it becomes easier to understand why people will end up passing this app by.
